Behind the easel

Hello there! I am Niv Bhaskhar (sometimes an ideallaedi) and am a figurative artist based in the Bay Area. I love to capture immersive moments of time on canvas with multiple mediums including gouache, oil pastel, acrylic, and charcoal. The varied mediums I use shape each of my works differently, reflecting how our surroundings mold us, yet the pieces remain united by the underlying theme of humanity.

I'm also a mathematician and engineer by day. Be it in art or math, I build abstractions from reality and recast them back with a unique focal point to illuminate the world around me. I find myself creating my best works when structure and order meet instinct and beauty. The meeting of these worlds sets me free.
